Doc Taylor Passes

Doc Taylor is in the hospital he has lung cancer that has spread to his brain. His time left is very short. I spoke with his wife at the hospital and actually spoke to Alberto although he has a hard time speaking.

Doc Joyce was taken to the hospital last night.He has emphysema and one of his lungs is filled with fluid and his health is not good. He is going thru some procedures right now but if you want to contact him at the hospital his # 719-776-7315 His room # 3015

July 16 Update

Alberto "Doc" Taylor passed away at 400 AM.He will be cremated and requested no ceremony.Alberto came to D troop early 1969. He had been working as part of a dust off crew  I believe out of Soc Trang.He was a great medic and worked in the medical field all his life.He was a fluent spanish speaker. I asked him about that years later at a reunion.He  told me his family was from cuba. His great grand father was from north carolina and was with Teddy Roosevelt as one of the rough riders during the Spanish American war.Apparently he fell in love with a local woman and stayed in cuba.

Alberto and his wife Maria always enjoyed the reunions. They were the first on the dance floor and the last to leave.
A good man has left the dance floor.

Doc Albert Taylor Passing

I am glad I got to know Doc Albert Taylor and share some time together at the reunions with him and wife Maria. He always brought a smile to my face when I saw him. He was one of the special people in my life. I will miss him very much.

The passing of "Doc Taylor"

I must be honest and say that I don't really remember Doc Taylor but i'm sure he was a excellent medic,and I am alway's saddened at the passing of an American warrior. I do however recognize the signator on a posting by Doc O'Leary. Tall and reddish hair a eastcoast guy who sewed my right elbow up one afternoon and of course Doc Joyce.
